Interim Housing Compliance Manager
6-Month Contract | £450–£550 per day (Inside IR35, DOE)
Location: Home Counties
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Interim Housing Compliance Manager to lead and manage housing compliance across a maintenance service within the social housing sector.
This is a key interim role responsible for ensuring full compliance with statutory and regulatory housing health and safety requirements, including gas, electrical, fire safety, water hygiene, and asbestos management. You will play a critical role in maintaining safe, compliant homes and driving continuous improvement across services.
Key Responsibilities
*Ensure full compliance with housing health and safety legislation and regulatory standards
*Develop, implement, and maintain robust compliance frameworks and monitoring systems
*Oversee statutory inspections, servicing, and safety programmes
*Manage contractor performance and ensure delivery to required standards
*Lead on audits, inspections, and risk assessments, implementing corrective actions where required
*Produce clear compliance reports for senior leadership
*Provide expert compliance advice and guidance across the organisation
About You
*Proven experience in a housing compliance role within social housing
*Strong working knowledge of housing health and safety legislation
*Experience managing compliance teams and external contractors
*Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills
*Confident communicator with the ability to influence at all levels
*Relevant professional qualification (e.g. NEBOSH, IOSH)
