Job Description:
Are you a dedicated Primary Teacher with QTS looking for a rewarding role in Wigan? We are seeking an energetic and creative individual to join a mainstream primary school, specifically leading a Year 3 class. This is a fantastic opportunity to use your professional expertise to make a tangible impact on young lives.
Key Responsibilities
Your day will be fast-paced and varied, covering everything from core subjects to creative sessions:
*Morning (7:30 am - 12:00 pm): Arrive early to organise resources and set up displays. Following registration and assemblies, you will lead core Maths and English lessons, focusing on literacy, numeracy, and engaging problem-solving activities.
*Afternoon (12:00 pm - 4:00 pm+): After supervising lunch or catching up on marking, you will deliver the wider curriculum, including Arts, Science, Humanities, and PE.
*End of Day: Safely dismiss your class at home time, engaging with parents regarding progress, followed by post-school planning, data reviews, or leading extracurricular clubs.

Requirements

*Qualifications: Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) via a PGCE or equivalent UK-recognised teaching qualification.
*Vetting: Must hold or be willing to apply for an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
*Skills: Strong classroom management and a passion for the Year 3 curriculum.
