Job Description:
History Teacher (KS3 & KS4) - Chelmsford Can you make the past come alive?
Do your lessons spark debates about monarchs, revolutions, and whether the Romans were actually any good at plumbing? If so, we want you.
We’re on the hunt for an enthusiastic History Teacher to join our friendly and supportive school in Chelmsford, teaching KS3 and KS4 students who are curious, opinionated, and ready to be inspired by the stories of the past.
About the Role You will:
* Bring history to life through engaging, creative lessons
* Teach across KS3 and KS4 (GCSE experience desirable but not essential)
* Encourage students to question, debate, and think critically about the world
* Be part of a collaborative Humanities team who genuinely enjoy working together
About You You are:
* A qualified teacher (or ECT) with a passion for History
* Energetic, imaginative, and not afraid of a good historical debate
* Committed to helping every student succeed
* Someone who knows that history is more than dates - it’s stories, people, and ideas
What We Offer * A welcoming, supportive school community in Chelmsford
* Enthusiastic students who love a good story
* Strong CPD and career development opportunities
* A well-resourced department with room for creativity
* A chance to make a real difference every single day
If you believe history matters, love sharing that belief with young people, and want to work in a school where your enthusiasm will be valued, we’d love to hear from you
