Academics Worcestershire are seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to join our team in Kidderminster and the surrounding areas.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing classrooms during teacher absences, ensuring that students stay engaged and motivated to learn. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the education sector, with options ranging from: flexible working hours to suit your lifestyle or longer term contracts.
Cover Supervisor - the role. No two days are ever the same! *Supervise classes during teacher absences, delivering pre-planned lessons effectively
*Foster a positive, productive and disciplined classroom environment
*Maintain student engagement, ensuring they stay focused and complete tasks as assigned
*Provide feedback on student progress, behaviour and classroom dynamics to teachers and staff
*Adapt to various classroom settings, ensuring consistency and continuity in student’s learning experience
Cover Supervisor - what we’re looking for: *Strong Leadership & Communication Skills: Able to guide and manage students with confidence
*Classroom Authority: Maintain a calm, authoritative presence to manage diverse groups of students
*UK-Recognised Degree and/ or Experience in Education: Prior experience in a similar supervisory role is advantageous
*Adaptability: Flexible and able to adjust to different classroom environments, student needs, and teaching style
*A valid Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply for a new certificate, we can help with this process)
*Ability to commute reliably to schools in Kidderminster and/ or surrounding areas
