Field Service Engineer (Calibration) £30-55k Base + Benefits

Perm - South East – Travel UK/ Europe
Join a leading R&D team as an experienced Field Service Engineer & Calibration Specialist looking for a varied, hands-on role with international travel and technical challenge.
As a skilled field service calibration engineer you will join a world-leading manufacturer who design large machine parts and systems using robotics/ hydraulics and pneumatics supporting customers across the UK and Europe.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in mechanical (bias) and electrical (desirable) background or qualified electro-mechanical, mechatronics or electro-hydraulic systems, who enjoys solving complex problems and working directly with customers on site.
Location: This role involves a roughly 50:50 split between office-based work and travel (with some flexibility). Of the travel portion, approximately half will be within the UK and half international.
Key Responsibilities
*Perform calibration, testing, and certification to ensure performance compliance.
*Provide on-site service and commissioning for customer installations across the UK and Europe.
*Diagnose and repair faults, carry out maintenance, and install replacement parts.
*Support project teams during installations and act as the technical lead on customer sites.
*Prepare method statements, risk assessments, and technical documentation.
*Maintain strong customer relationships and deliver projects to a high standard and on time.
*Ensure all calibration tools and equipment are properly maintained and compliant.
Qualifications & Experience
*Experience in field service, calibration, or commissioning.
*HND/Degree in Engineering (or equivalent).
*Background in mechanical (preferred), electro-mechanical, electrical, or mechatronic engineering.
*Experience using diagnostic and calibration tools.
*Strong understanding of Health & Safety in on-site environments.
*Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
*Good IT skills – MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
*Willingness to travel across the UK and occasionally abroad
