Head of Year / Pastoral Manager - Secondary School in Kirkby Stephen
Full Time | Long Term | Temporary to Permanent Opportunity
Upto £200 per day
Tradewind Recruitment are seeking an organised, proactive, and dedicated Head of Year / Pastoral Manager to join a welcoming secondary school in Kirkby Stephen. This is a full-time, long-term role (5 days per week) with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
In this vital pastoral role, you will support students’ wellbeing, behaviour, and engagement, working closely with staff, parents, and external agencies. A teaching qualification is not required, but strong communication skills, empathy, and the ability to lead and motivate young people are essential.
Key Requirements:
* Highly organised and proactive approach
*Expereince in a school setting
* Strong pastoral focus with the ability to build positive relationships
* Commitment to supporting students’ wellbeing, behaviour, and progress
* Full-time availability, Monday-Friday
* Previous pastoral, behaviour or safeguarding experience highly desirable
Safeguarding & Compliance:
* This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure
* Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks are required
* Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible, and any gaps must be explained
