Job Description:
*Location: Dawlish
*Job Type: Temporary (6-8 weeks)
*Working Hours: Full-time, flexible start and finish times (9-5/8-4)
My client are urgently seeking an experienced Payroll/Accounts Manager with proficient knowledge of Sage 50. The role is based onsite at their office in Dawlish and requires a commitment of 5 days a week for a minimum duration of 6-8 weeks.
Day-to-day of the role:
Payroll Management:
*Prepare and process weekly and monthly payrolls, ensuring accuracy in calculations and timely payment.
*Manage statutory deductions such as PAYE, National Insurance, and pensions, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
*Maintain accurate payroll records and promptly update any changes in employee information.
*Address and resolve payroll-related queries from employees.
*Ensure compliance with all payroll-related legal requirements, including RTI submissions to HMRC.
Supplier Payments and Accounts Payable:
*Oversee the accounts payable process, ensuring accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices.
*Manage timely payments to suppliers according to agreed terms and maintain strong supplier relationships.
*Conduct regular reconciliation of supplier statements to identify and resolve discrepancies.
*Monitor outstanding invoices and manage cash flow to meet payment obligations.
*Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure correct matching of purchase orders to invoices.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Extensive experience in payroll and accounts payable management.
*Proficient in using Sage 50 accounting software.
*Strong understanding of payroll legal requirements and compliance.
*Excellent organisational and communication skills.
*Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
