Overview
We’re looking for a Operations Manager to take charge of the day-to-day running of our Leeds site - one of the busiest and most established within the Graham network. You’ll oversee a four-vehicle fleet (2 x 7.5 ton, 2x 3.5 ton) and lead a team of experienced drivers and warehouse colleagues to make sure every order, delivery, and process runs like clockwork.
This is a role for someone who likes to be in the thick of it. You’ll be hands-on in the warehouse, working alongside your team to keep stock flowing, orders accurate, and vehicles on the road. You’ll manage stock movement across a wide range of plumbing, heating, and bathroom products - from boilers and fittings to renewables and accessories - keeping everything flowing from warehouse to customer.

Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Management
*Oversee the day-to-day running of the warehouse, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and safety
*Lead and develop warehouse staff to maintain high performance and teamwork
*Manage goods-in, picking, loading, and stock rotation to minimise errors and delays
*Oversee storage and movement of plumbing, heating, and bathroom products, ensuring safe handling and correct stock rotation
*Maintain excellent housekeeping, layout efficiency, and space utilisation
*Work with management to reduce aged or obsolete stock and improve turnover
*Ensure compliance with all company and health & safety procedures
*Support process improvements to increase productivity and accuracy
Transport Management
*Manage a fleet of four-vehicles (2 x 7.5 ton, 2x 3.5 ton), scheduling routes and deliveries
*Lead and support drivers
*Ensure all vehicles are maintained, serviced, and road-legal
*Oversee daily vehicle checks, driver records, and compliance documentation
*Monitor delivery performance, resolving issues quickly and professionally
*Liaise with customers, drivers, and internal teams to ensure timely deliveries
*Control transport costs through route planning and efficient vehicle use


What You’ll Need
*Proven experience in warehouse or transport management (ideally both)
*Strong leadership skills with a hands-on approach
*Excellent understanding of warehouse operations, logistics, and transport compliance
*Product knowledge or experience within plumbing, heating, or bathroom supplies preferred
*Understanding of merchant operations or trade distribution environment would be an advantage
*Organised, practical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
*Good communication skills and confidence dealing with drivers, suppliers, and management
*Strong problem-solving ability with attention to accuracy and efficiency
*Flexible and proactive - ready to roll up your sleeves when the site needs it
