Pay Scale: M1-UPS3
A supportive and community-focused mainstream primary school in Didcot, Oxfordshire is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 5 Teacher to join their Upper Key Stage 2 team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate practitioner who is committed to helping pupils build independence, resilience, and academic confidence as they progress through KS2.
The school is well regarded for its inclusive ethos and collaborative staff culture. They are looking for a reflective, motivated, and caring teacher who can deliver engaging lessons and support all pupils to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
*Planning and delivering high-quality lessons in line with the National Curriculum
*Supporting pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development in Year 5
*Creating a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
*Using effective behaviour management strategies
*Assessing, monitoring, and tracking pupil progress
*Working collaboratively with Upper KS2 colleagues and support staff
*Building positive relationships with parents and carers
*Contributing to the wider life of the school
Applicants must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Previous experience teaching in Upper KS2 or Year 5 is desirable but not essential.
