A leading fast-growth SME based on the outskirts of Southampton are seeking to recruit a Credit Controller in a permanent capacity.
The Credit Controller Role:
As Credit Controller, you will take ownership of the credit control function and driving processes to reduce debtor days, improve cash collection, and maintain strong client relationships. This is a pivotal role that combines process improvement, and hands-on credit management.
Key Responsibilities of the Credit Controller
*Monitor aged debt and ensure timely recovery of outstanding balances.
*Develop and implement effective credit policies and procedures.
*Build strong working relationships with clients to resolve payment issues quickly and professionally.
*Work closely with finance and sales teams to reduce credit risk and improve overall cash flow.
*Provide regular reports on debtor performance, cash flow forecasting, and key KPIs to senior management.
*Drive continuous improvement in processes, systems, and controls.
About You:
*Proven experience in a senior credit control role, ideally within a fast-paced environment.
*Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
*High attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
*Knowledge of relevant credit control systems/software.
