Counterbalance Forklift Driver/Warehouse Operative
*Hourly Rate: £17.00 (Umbrella) / £14.00 (PAYE)
*Location: Basildon, Essex, RM14
*Job Type: Working Monday to Friday 7.30am to 5.30pm with overtime available when required
We are seeking a dedicated Counterbalance Forklift Driver/Warehouse Operative to join a vibrant company located near Upminster/Basildon, Essex.
Role Overview:
You will be working within a fast-paced environment, primarily responsible for the loading and unloading of vehicles using a counterbalance forklift, ensuring goods are handled safely and efficiently at all times.
Hours of Work:
*Monday to Friday
*7:30am – 5:30pm
*Overtime available when required
Key Responsibilities:
*Operating a counterbalance forklift safely and efficiently
*Loading and unloading vehicles
*Moving, stacking, and organising stock within the warehouse/yard
*Carrying out daily forklift safety checks
*Adhering to all health & safety procedures on site
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence (RTITB, ITSSAR or equivalent)
*Previous experience in a similar warehouse/forklift role
*Car owner/driver – essential due to site location and transport access
*Physically fit and able to carry out manual handling as the role is predominantly loading and unloading vehicles
*Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
*Strong awareness of health & safety
