SEND Deputy Head of Year (Non-Teaching)
£32,535–£33,987 FTE (pro rata)
36 hours per week | 44.8 weeks per year

VNA Education is working with a high-performing secondary school to appoint a skilled and committed SEND Deputy Head of Year.
This is a strategically important pastoral leadership role, supporting vulnerable learners and SEND cohorts, and driving an inclusive culture of high expectations and strong progress
The Role
*Provide pastoral and SEND leadership within a designated year group
*Develop and embed a satellite SEND hub aligned with inclusive classroom practice
*Monitor academic, social and emotional progress of vulnerable students
*Work closely with the Head of Year, SENCO and senior leaders
*Lead effective multi-agency and parental engagement
*Use data to inform intervention, support and impact
The ideal candidate
*Strong experience supporting SEND and vulnerable learners
*Confident in assessment, progress tracking and data analysis
*Proven ability to lead, influence and support staff
*Calm, resilient and solutions-focused leadership approach
*Highly effective communicator with parents and external agencies
*Committed to safeguarding, inclusion and student wellbeing
