We are seeking a Multi-Skills Technician to join our client’s Further Education College team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong construction background and experience working as a technician. The successful candidate will be instrumental in planning and organising workshops for both the Level 1 Construction and Electrical groups.
Day-to-day of the role:*Plan and organise workshops for the Level 1 Construction and Electrical groups.
*Ensure general maintenance and undertake simple repairs of equipment to support course provision.
*Prepare equipment and resources for teaching and learning activities.
*Maintain tools and equipment levels to ensure efficient operation.
*Carry out risk assessments and recommend improvements to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
*Support tutors during practical sessions with demonstrations and assist learners in understanding and applying technical skills.
Required Skills & Qualifications:*Proven experience in a construction environment, ideally as a technician.
*Ability to perform general maintenance and simple equipment repairs.
*Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks and workshops efficiently.
*Knowledge of health and safety regulations and the ability to conduct risk assessments.
*Excellent communication skills to support both tutors and learners effectively.
*Enhanced DBS check on the update service or issued within the last year is highly desirable.
