Basic Salary: £40–50K basic DOE + generous commission package

Client
My well-established, niche Conference Specialist client is seeking an experienced Sponsorship Sales Specialist to sell across a portfolio of international, finance-focused, summit-style events.


The Role
As a Sponsorship Sales Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in securing new commercial partners and driving sponsorship revenue. You will be responsible for managing and delivering booked clients, while cross-selling and expanding accounts across both new and established international, industry-leading summits.


This role involves selling across the full event portfolio, with a strong focus on new business development alongside strategic upselling to existing key accounts.


Key Responsibilities


The Sponsorship Sales Specialist role includes (but is not limited to):
*Understanding client challenges across financial markets and aligning sponsorship solutions to meet those needs
*Developing a deep understanding of products, market sectors, and competitive landscape
*Building and maintaining strong client relationships through regular engagement
*Creating innovative, creative, and commercially viable sponsorship solutions
*Pitching to C-level executives and senior decision-makers within the financial services sector
*Working closely with marketing, production, and operations teams to ensure seamless, customer-focused event delivery
*Collaborating with the Managing Director on revenue forecasting, sales reporting, and pipeline management
*Identifying new prospects via competitor analysis, media, events, and market intelligence
*Owning and delivering revenue targets across the events portfolio
*Driving new business while managing and growing key accounts

Key Requirements:


*Minimum of 2.5 years’ B2B sponsorship sales experience within financial services or finance-focused events
*Proven track record of closing high-value sponsorship deals
*Confident communicator with excellent telephone and presentation skills
*Strong sales methodology and/or formal sales training
*High level of business acumen and commercial awareness
*Ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
*Desire for continuous professional development and mentoring others
*Highly motivated by commission and high-ticket deal closure
