Deputy Home Manager
Southport / £15 per hour - 44 hours
My Client is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Deputy Home Manager to join the team in Southport in their 40 bed Residential Care Home.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced senior carer or existing deputy manager looking to take the next step in a supportive, resident-focused environment.
? About the Role of Deputy Manager
*44 hours per week
*3 × 12-hour shifts on the floor (8am-8pm)
*1 supernumerary shift per week
*Weekend working included on a rota basis
*On-call duties shared across the management team
*£15 per hour
As Deputy Home Manager, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the highest standards of care, supporting the Home Manager with day-to-day operations, and leading by example on the floor.
? Key Responsibilities for the Deputy Manager include:
*Support the Home Manager in the effective running of the home
*Lead and mentor care staff to deliver exceptional person-centred care
*Ensure compliance with CQC standards and company policies
*Build positive relationships with residents, families, and external professionals
*Assist with staff training, supervision, and development
*Contribute to rota planning, audits, and care planning
*Act as a role model during floor shifts and provide leadership during on-call duties
? About You
We’re looking for someone who brings:
*Previous experience in a senior care role (Deputy or Senior Carer level)
*Strong leadership and communication skills
*A passion for delivering high-quality care
*The ability to work flexibly, including weekends and on-call
*NVQ Level 3 (or working towards Level 4/5) is desirable
