HGV Class 1 LST Driver – Wolverhampton
People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 LST Driver to join our well-established client based in Wolverhampton, West Midlands. This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay and genuine opportunities to grow and progress.
Shifts
• Monday to Sunday
• Days: 08:00 starts
• Nights: 19:00 starts
Rates of Pay
• £17.00 per hour (Monday to Friday – days)
• £18.00 per hour (Monday to Friday – nights)
• £19.00 per hour (Saturday)
• £20.00 per hour (Sunday)

Day-to-Day Duties
• Carrying out trunking work for IKEA
• Operating and driving Class 1 (Category CE) vehicles safely and efficiently
• Carrying out pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Ensuring all loads are loaded and secured correctly
• Adhering to traffic laws and regulations
• Communicating effectively with dispatch and customers
• Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
• Assisting with loading and unloading of cargo as required
• Driving LST trailers
Essential Skills
• Valid UK Category CE driving licence
• Minimum of 12 months’ experience driving CE vehicles
• Valid UK Driver CPC card and Digital Tachograph card
• No more than six penalty points for minor offences and no major endorsement codes
• Good level of spoken and written English
• Punctual with excellent time-keeping
• Good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to drive LST trailers
Desirable Experience
• Previous experience driving commercial vehicles
• Previous multi-drop delivery experience
Training Provided
• Support provided throughout the assignment
