HGV Class 1 Driver
People Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Aston, West Midlands. This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay and room to grow and progress.
Shifts: Monday to Sunday, 5 days out of 7
Rates of pay:
*Basic: days from £16.50, nights from £17.50
*Saturday: £17.50 per hour
*Sunday: £20.00 per hour

Day-to-day duties: As a Class 1 Driver, your duties will include (but not be limited to):
*Fridge work, maximum 3 store delivery no handball involved
*Operating and driving Class 1 vehicles safely and efficiently to and from delivery locations
*Performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
*Ensuring all cargo is loaded and secured properly
*Adhering to traffic laws and regulations
*Communicating effectively with dispatch and customers
*Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
*Assisting with loading and unloading of cargo when required
Essential skills: To be successful as a Class 1 Driver, you will need:
*A valid UK Category CE licence
*A minimum of 12 month’s experience driving CE vehicles
*No more than six penalty points for minor infringements, with no major endorsement codes
*A valid UK CPC card and Digi card
*Good spoken and written English
*Punctuality and excellent time-keeping skills
*A solid understanding of traffic laws and regulations
*Effective communication skills
*Desirable experience:
*Previous commercial driving experience
*Previous multi-drop delivery experience
Training:
*Industry related training and ongoing support throughout
