Your doom-scrolling era starts paying rent.
We’re looking for a Temporary Social Media Support Assistant to jump in and help our social media team survive a very busy period. This role is office-based in York, starts immediately, and runs until the end of February - with a strong chance of extension if you’re flexible and happy to get stuck into admin tasks too.
What you’ll be getting stuck into
*Supporting our social media and community channels during peak chaos
*Responding to customer queries with empathy, common sense, and a good eye for what people actually mean
*Working across Instagram, Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), TikTok, and Bluesky
*Keeping an eye on trends, tone, and online culture (your screen time will finally be justified)
*Jumping between social media and filing / admin tasks when things quieten down
*Working alongside two lovely humans in the York office, plus our Community Manager working remotely
You’ll probably be great at this if…
*You’re comfortable dealing with customers and know how to read between the lines
*You live on social media and understand how people talk online
*You can switch tasks without drama and handle a changing workload
*You’re tech confident (or at least not scared of new systems)
*You’re flexible, organised, and happy to help where needed
*You’re keen to work from the office in York
The important bits
*Location: Office-based, York
*Hours: 30-40 hours per week
*Working hours: Between 10am–6pm (we’re flexible)
*Contract: Temporary - immediate start until end of February, with likely extension
*Support: Full backing from an experienced, friendly team
