Job Description:
SEND Teaching Assistant Primary School - Central Stockport
Full-time | Long-term
Tradewind Recruitment are currently working with a supportive and inclusive primary school in central Stockport, who are seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis.
This role involves providing targeted support to pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), working either 1:1 or in small groups to help children access learning and achieve their full potential.
The Role: * Supporting pupils with a range of SEND needs
* Providing 1:1 and small group interventions
* Working closely with the class teacher and SENDCo
* Supporting emotional, social, and academic development
* Implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and strategies
The Ideal Candidate: * Has previous experience working in a SEND support role
* Is patient, nurturing, and resilient
* Demonstrates strong communication and behaviour management skills
* Has a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
* Relevant TA or SEND qualifications are desirable but not essential
