We are currently recruiting for a Town Centre Ranger to support Cheshire East Council with the ongoing maintenance and upkeep of public spaces within the local area.
Pay Rate: £12.21 per hour
Contract Length: 6+ months (ongoing)
The RoleAs a Town Centre Ranger, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of skilled and unskilled tasks involved in the maintenance of public and private grounds across the client’s jurisdiction. All duties must be completed in line with relevant policies, procedures, specifications, and statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities*Deliver high-quality horticultural, grounds maintenance, and street cleansing services
*Undertake activities including:
*Leaf clearance
*Strimming and weeding
*Litter picking
*Street cleansing
*Street furniture maintenance and painting
*Visual inspections of play areas, with basic maintenance and repairs
*Apply pesticides/herbicides where appropriately qualified
*Ensure work areas are kept clean, safe, and presentable at all times
About You*Experience in grounds maintenance, horticulture, or street cleansing is desirable
*Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
*Practical, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a team
*Strong awareness of health and safety requirements
