Customer Service Executive
Location: Chelmsford, Essex
Salary: Up to £27,000 + Bonus Scheme
Hours: Full Time | Two-week rota | No weekends
Requirement: Full UK driving licence (due to location)
The Role
Our client, a fast-growing and forward-thinking retailer specialising in home and industrial storage solutions, is looking to recruit an experienced Customer Service Executive to join their welcoming and supportive team based near Chelmsford. This is an excellent opportunity for a customer-focused professional who enjoys problem-solving and delivering a high standard of service.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver outstanding customer service via phone, email, and live chat
Provide product advice and solutions for both domestic and commercial customers
Accurately process telephone orders
Liaise with couriers and resolve delivery issues, damages, and delays
Handle customer queries and complaints in a calm and professional manner
Complete general administrative duties
Develop and maintain strong product knowledge
Key Skills & Experience
Previous customer service experience, ideally within an online retail environment
Confident communicator with strong verbal and written skills
Experience dealing with couriers and delivery-related issues, damages, delays
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
Computer literate
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Patient, professional, and customer-focused
Additional Requirements
Ideally living within 10–15 miles of Writtle
Must hold a full UK driving licence
Working Hours
Two-week rotating shift pattern:
Monday: 7:30am–5:00pm or 8:00am–5:30pm
Tuesday–Thursday: 8:00am–5:00pm or 8:30am–5:30pm
Friday: 8:00am–4:30pm
No weekends
