Facilities Manager £Competitive + Benefits

Perm full time / onsite
An aerospace leader is urgently seeking facilities manager to ensure their facilities / site is safe, compliant, secure, and fully operational.
As facilities manager you will holds responsibility for the security of company facilities, supporting business continuity and operational effectiveness across sites.
Main location Oxfordshire but very occasional travel to another UK site.
Key Responsibilities
Facilities & Maintenance Management
*Manage the maintenance of the buildings, including all structural and cosmetic elements, both internally and externally.
*Oversee plumbing, mechanical, and electrical support services within the hangar and associated facilities.
*Implement and manage preventative maintenance schedules to minimise equipment downtime and operational disruption.
Compliance & Safety
*Ensure full compliance with relevant government regulations and statutory requirements, including Fire Safety Regulations and other applicable HSE standards.
*Support audits, inspections, and corrective actions related to facilities compliance.
*Contract & Supplier Management
*Work closely with the Procurement team to support the management and negotiation of facilities-related contracts.
*Assist with Invitations to Tender and supplier selection processes.
*Engage, supervise, and where required escort sub-contractors undertaking specialist works on site.
Financial & Budget Management
*Develop, manage, and monitor annual facilities budgets.
*Track utility usage and costs, identifying opportunities for efficiency and cost reduction.
*Justify and support capital expenditure proposals for major maintenance and infrastructure projects.
Sustainability & Energy Management
*Support sustainability initiatives across facilities.
*Monitor energy consumption and contribute to the implementation of ’green’ initiatives aligned with sustainability objectives.
Security Management
*Take responsibility for the security of facilities
*Oversee site and personnel security arrangements, ensuring appropriate controls and procedures are in place.
Qualifications/Experience
*Proven experience in facilities management within an industrial, aviation, or engineering environment.
*Strong knowledge of building services, maintenance practices, and statutory compliance.
*Experience managing contractors, budgets, and service contracts.
*Understanding of security management and site access controls.
*Strong organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
