MIG / TIG Welder Location: Daventry
Hours: Full time
*Monday – Thursday: 7:00am – 5:15pm
*Friday: 7:00am – 1:00pm
Pay Rate: £16.50 per hour
Our well-established Daventry-based client, with over 50 years of experience in the manufacture of fabricated metal products, is currently recruiting experienced MIG/TIG Welders on a temp-to-perm basis.
The company supplies high-quality components to a wide range of industries, including automotive, agriculture, bus manufacturing, yellow goods, and general engineering. This role involves production welding on a variety of components, primarily working with mild steel, and following detailed engineering drawings.
Key Responsibilities: *Set up, operate, and maintain MIG and TIG welding machines and associated equipment
*Carry out MIG welding, mainly on mild steel
*Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
*Inspect and test welded components to ensure they meet customer requirements
*Use measuring tools such as micrometres and verniers/calipers to check tolerances
*Identify faults and troubleshoot issues as required
*Perform general fabrication tasks including cutting, grinding, drilling, and smoothing metal components
*Meet production targets and deadlines
*Report any defects or issues to the Production Supervisor
*Comply with all health and safety regulations at all times
The Ideal Candidate: *Proven experience as a MIG/TIG Welder
*Confident working from engineering drawings and specifications
*Able to work efficiently to deadlines
*Experienced working with mild steel and stainless steel
