Job Description:
Are you a Management Accountant looking to get more hands on?
This organisation has reached a stage where growth and complexity demand sharper insight, stronger control, and better-informed decisions.
As part of an international manufacturing group, the UK business is evolving how it plans, reports, and manages performance across both its production operation and sales activity. Finance sits at the heart of that transformation. Not as a back-office reporting function, but as a commercial partner influencing how the business operates.
They are now looking to appoint a Management Accountant who enjoys being close to the operation, understands manufacturing realities, and can translate detailed financial data into clear, practical insight for senior leaders.
The role:
This is a broad, hands-on Management Accounting role with genuine exposure across manufacturing, sales, and leadership teams. You’ll act as a key finance partner, helping shape how performance is measured, understood, and improved.
Key responsibilities include:
*Acting as a finance business partner to senior site and commercial leadership
*Developing and embedding a KPI-led performance framework across the factory
*Reviewing, refining, and maintaining standard costing models
*Analysing production and commercial variances, highlighting risks and opportunities
*Supporting inventory control, stock accuracy, and reporting
*Designing and maintaining Power BI dashboards focused on operational performance
*Providing sales reporting, forecasting, and planning support to the UK Managing Director
*Leading budgeting and forecasting for the manufacturing site and UK sales function
*Supporting month-end close and group reporting for three UK entities
*Assisting with statutory accounts, VAT returns, and UK tax processes
This is a role for someone who wants to improve how finance supports the business - challenging processes, simplifying reporting, and increasing visibility rather than just producing numbers.
What you’ll bring:
*Part-qualified ACCA or CIMA
*Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
*Strong Management Accounting, FP&A, and analytical background
*Solid understanding of standard costing and variance analysis
*Experience working with ERP systems (Dynamics AX beneficial)
*Advanced Excel skills and practical Power BI experience
*Commercial mindset with strong problem-solving skills
*Confident communicator able to work cross-functionally
*Working knowledge of UK statutory reporting, VAT, and direct tax
*Experience in decentralised or matrix-led organisations
What’s on offer:
*Salary up to £40,000 plus study support
*25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
*Christmas and New Year shutdown
*Life assurance
*Genuine flexibility with full-time hours across 4 or 5 days
*Regular exposure to UK and international senior leadership
*A real opportunity to influence processes and drive meaningful change
