Our client, a forward-thinking Utilities and Energy technology company, are seeking a Meter Reader to join their team! The Meter Reader will be responsible for taking downloads from half-hourly electric meters, whilst providing courteous service to customers.
All training will be provided. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone from a delivery driving or field-based background who can drive and wants to join a supportive team. A company Vehicle will be provided.
Key Responsibilities for the Meter Reader
*Download data from Meters
*Undertake weekly checks on vehicle, including water, oil, tyre pressures etc. Report vehicle issues immediately.
*Drive to site in a safe and professional manner and make every reasonable effort to find the correct site.
*Liaise with onsite Reception/Security personnel. Quickly build good rapport, greeting and dealing with them in a professional and courteous manner.
Key background for the Meter Reader
*Either Meter reading or delivery driving or field-based role background
*Full UK driving licence
*Strong communication and customer service skills
*Reasonable level of physical fitness and manual dexterity to undertake regular manual handling.
*Prepared to work in all weathers, and in sometimes difficult or dirty conditions.
