Finance Manager (Part-Qualified / QBE) – Standalone SME RolePoole | Full-time | Permanent

Are you a part-qualified or QBE finance professional looking for a role where you can take real ownership and broaden your experience? Our client, a successful and growing SME in Poole, is looking for a hands-on Finance Manager to run the day-to-day finance function and support the leadership team.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, autonomy, and being the "go-to" person for finance within a friendly, supportive business.
The RoleWorking closely with the Directors and external accountant, you’ll manage the full finance cycle, including:
*Overseeing daily accounting operations using Xero
*Producing monthly management accounts and cashflow forecasts
*Preparing client quotations and raising accurate invoices
*Managing payroll and ensuring PAYE compliance
*Handling subcontractor payments and resolving queries
*Monitoring the finance inbox and responding to customer and supplier queries
*Maintaining strong relationships with clients and suppliers
*Completing bookkeeping tasks and VAT returns
*Preparing year-end information for the external accountant
*Providing commercial insight to support business decisions
About YouWe’re looking for someone who is:
*Part-qualified (AAT / ACCA / CIMA) or QBE with solid finance experience
*Confident producing management accounts and cashflow reports
*Experienced with Xero
*Comfortable working in a standalone role within an SME
*Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
*Clear and confident communicating with internal teams, clients, and suppliers
*Proactive, commercially aware, and keen to add value
