Job Description:
spire People is recruiting a SEND Support Assistant for a welcoming primary school in Salford (M6). This role focuses on supporting pupils in KS2 who require additional academic and emotional support.
The school has a strong inclusive ethos and works closely with families and external professionals to ensure pupils receive the support they need to succeed.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
* Supporting pupils with SEND on a 1:1 and small-group basis
* Assisting with differentiated Maths and English tasks
* Supporting pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs
* Helping pupils build confidence, independence, and resilience
* Monitoring progress and feeding back to teaching staff
* Supporting transitions and unstructured times
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
* Has recent experience supporting SEND pupils in a primary setting
* Is confident working with KS2-aged children
* Has strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills
* Can adapt support strategies to meet individual needs
* Works well as part of a wider school team
