Job Description:
Admissions Lead Required for School in Berkshire
At Engage Education Services, we’ve specialised in recruiting education staff for over a decade. We’re currently looking for an experienced and proactive Admissions Lead to work full-time at a welcoming and well-regarded school in Berkshire.
Our team has built an excellent reputation in the local area, and we are seeking a high-quality professional to lead and manage the school’s admissions processes, ensuring a smooth, compliant, and positive experience for prospective families.
Working hours: Monday – Friday 8am till 4pm
About the roleAs the Admissions Lead, your responsibilities may include:
*Leading and managing the school’s admissions process from initial enquiry through to enrolment
*Acting as the first point of contact for prospective parents and carers, providing a professional and welcoming service
*Managing applications, waiting lists, offers, and admissions data in line with local authority and school policies
*Using the school’s internal systems (e.g. SIMS) to accurately record and maintain pupil data
*Liaising with senior leaders, local authorities, and external agencies regarding admissions and pupil placement
*Overseeing and supporting administrative or reception staff involved in admissions
*Ensuring compliance with admissions legislation, safeguarding requirements, and GDPR
*Handling admissions-related queries or complaints efficiently and ensuring appropriate follow-up
*Supporting transition arrangements for new starters, including induction and documentation
The ideal applicant*Significant experience working within a school office or admissions environment
*Strong knowledge of school admissions procedures and local authority processes
*Experience using SIMS (School Information Management System) or similar systems
*Excellent communication and organisational skills
*A calm, professional, and approachable manner when dealing with families and stakeholders
*A genuine passion for working within an educational setting
