Job Description:
Teacher of Science (KS3 & KS4) Location: Southend-on-Sea, Essex
Contract: Full-time
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Teacher of Science to join our successful and supportive Science department in Southend-on-Sea. This is an excellent opportunity for an ECT or experienced teacher who is passionate about inspiring young people and delivering high-quality science education at Key Stages 3 and 4.
The Role * Teach Science across KS3 and KS4 (specialism welcome but not essential)
* Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that promote curiosity and achievement
* Assess, track and report on student progress in line with school policies
* Contribute to the development of the Science curriculum
The Ideal Candidate Will * Hold QTS (or be working towards it)
* Have strong subject knowledge in Science
* Be passionate about teaching and learning
* Be a reflective practitioner committed to professional development
* Work effectively as part of a collaborative team
