Location: Enfield, North London
Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent / Long-Term
Key Stages: KS3-KS4 (KS5 elements included)
Tradewind Recruitment is working in partnership with a specialist SEMH secondary school to recruit an SEN Teacher specialising in Physical Education.
This specialist provision supports young people aged 11-18 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The school has grown rapidly since opening in 2022 and now offers a full provision from Year 7 to Year 13, supporting up to 70 pupils in a structured, therapeutic and community-focused environment.
The school’s core purpose is to improve quality of life by nurturing potential, underpinned by strong values around community, relationships, enrichment, aspirations, trust and education. Character development and personal growth are central to the curriculum and daily practice.

* Remain calm and responsive during periods of dysregulation, using effective de-escalation strategies
* Work collaboratively with colleagues, families and external professionals to support long-term outcomes
The Ideal Candidate: * Qualified Teacher (QTS/QTLS), with experience in secondary, SEN or alternative provision
* Specialism or strong interest in Physical Education
* Confident teaching pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs
* Strong working knowledge of emotion coaching, nurture principles and zones of regulation
* Calm, reflective and resilient practitioner with strong behaviour management skills
* Committed to improving life chances and contributing positively to a close-knit school community
Why Apply? * A unique opportunity to join a growing specialist SEMH provision
* Small classes and a strong therapeutic focus
* A values-driven school culture with a clear vision and purpose
* Highly collaborative staff team with a shared commitment to pupil success
This is an exciting opportunity for a secondary-trained teacher, SEN teacher, or primary-trained teacher who is keen to work with secondary-aged pupils in a specialist SEMH setting and make a genuine, lasting impact.
