Production Operator – Full Training ProvidedLocation: Billingshurst Employment Type: Full-time, rotating shifts Salary: £13.31 per hour
Our client, a well-established manufacturing business, is looking for motivated Production Operators to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in quality, and wants to build a long-term career in a fast-paced production environment.
About the RoleAs a Production Operator, you will support the smooth and efficient running of semi-automated production lines. You’ll help maintain high product standards, complete essential documentation, and contribute to meeting daily production targets.
Full training is provided, although experience in food, pharmaceutical, FMCG, or similar manufacturing environments would be an advantage.
Shift PatternThis role operates on a rotating shift schedule:
*Early Shift: Monday–Thursday: 06:45–14:45 Friday: 06:45–13:45
*Late Shift: Monday–Thursday: 14:30–22:30 Friday: 13:30–20:30
Occasional Saturday morning overtime is available.
Key Responsibilities*Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant working environment
*Operate machinery and follow production procedures
*Ensure products meet required quality, efficiency, and quantity standards
*Complete line documentation, sampling, and traceability paperwork accurately
*Carry out product changeovers and equipment clean-downs
*Monitor waste, rejects, and stock discrepancies, ensuring accurate reconciliation
*Work closely with colleagues and supervisors to improve production performance
*Support the timely start-up and shutdown of production lines
Ideal Candidate*Good level of written and spoken English
*Confident with numbers and basic calculations
*Able to operate machinery and use hand tools
*Experience in production, manufacturing, or GMP/FMCG environments (preferred)
*Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
*Organised, methodical, and reliable
*Team-focused with good communication skills
*Comfortable working to deadlines and rotating shifts
*Willing to work overtime when required
