Your new role
As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting a pupil with additional or complex needs, enabling them to access learning and develop socially, emotionally and academically. Your responsibilities will include:
*Building constructive, positive working relationships
*Supporting the development of social skills, communication and emotional well-being
*Providing tailored support based on the pupil’s individual needs
*Working closely with teaching staff and external professionals to ensure a consistent and supportive approach
*Demonstrating initiative, compassion and the ability to respond calmly to a wide range of situations
This role is ideal for someone passionate about inclusion, personalised support and helping every child thrive.
What you’ll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you should have:
*Experience working with children, ideally those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
*Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships.
*A positive, inclusive and adaptable approach.
*Confidence in using your initiative and following agreed support plans.
*Commitment to safeguarding and willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check
