Technical Team Manager
Full time – Permanent
Salary - £55,000 - £60,000 plus bonus
Are you an experienced technical leader ready to shape, inspire and develop a high performing team? We’re looking for a Technical Team Manager to lead a busy, skilled department and drive excellence across all areas of technical service delivery.
The Opportunity
In this role, you will oversee a multi-disciplinary technical function, ensuring the highest standards of service, accuracy and professionalism. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders, champion best practice, and play a key part in continuously enhancing processes, systems and technical capabilities across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities *Lead, manage and develop a technical services team, ensuring alignment, collaboration and high performance.
*Oversee day to day operations, setting clear standards and ensuring work is completed to exceptional quality.
*Coach and mentor team members at all levels, fostering a culture of growth, ownership and accountability.
*Drive continuous improvement, reviewing processes and implementing best practice across the department.
*Collaborate with senior leaders to ensure technical standards, compliance and methodologies remain up to date.
*Support the production of technical documentation, including specifications, reports, drawings and calculations.
*Analyse departmental metrics and reporting data to support operational and strategic decision?making.
*Manage complex technical queries, providing guidance and escalation support where required.
*Build positive working relationships with internal teams, ensuring smooth communication and problem resolution.

You will be a strong strategic leader with a proven background in technical operations. You bring a calm, diplomatic and solution focused approach, with the ability to balance people leadership, process improvement and technical integrity.
Essential Skills & Experience *Extensive experience leading and developing larger technical or engineering based teams.
*Strong understanding of technical standards, systems or industry regulations relevant to your background.
*Excellent communication and influencing skills, able to inspire confidence at all levels.
*Highly organised with strong prioritisation abilities.
*Emotionally intelligent, supportive and able to build trusted relationships.
*Proactive mindset with strong problem solving and decision making ability.
