The Role – Machine Tool FitterYou’ll be working on new and refurbished machines, jigs and fixtures, supporting a wide range of industrial clients.
Your duties will include:
*Overhauling, repairing and refurbishing machine tool components
*Building and working with jigs and fixtures (toolmaking)
*Installing new equipment and supporting ongoing project work
*Completing parts requisitions to maintain stock levels and minimise downtime
*Reading and working from engineering drawings and schematics
*Occasional flexibility to support work outside standard hours when required
What we’re looking for:*Apprenticeship-trained or time-served engineer (or equivalent experience)
*Strong background in machine tool fitting / mechanical assembly
*Experience working with jigs and fixtures
*Confident reading technical drawings
*Organised, reliable and quality-focused
*Able to work safely, independently or as part of a team
*Electrical or mechanical qualifications advantageous but not essential
