About the Role:
We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated SEMH & SEN Learning Support Assistant to join our secondary school team in Bolton. This full-time, term-time role involves supporting secondary-aged students who require extra emotional, behavioural, and learning support to reach their potential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide one-to-one and classroom support for secondary students with SEMH and SEN needs

* Assist teachers in delivering personalised learning plans and strategies

* Monitor and report on student progress to teaching staff

* Build positive relationships and offer emotional support to students

* Support students’ social, emotional, behavioural, and academic development

Requirements:
* Experience working with secondary-aged students with SEMH or SEN needs is highly desirable

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

* Patience, empathy, and ability to remain calm in challenging situations

* Must be a confident driver with access to a vehicle

* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
