Overview
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing business based in Pulborough, West Sussex, who are looking to appoint a Sales Account Manager to join their dynamic and friendly sales team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and customer-focused sales professional who enjoys building strong relationships, managing accounts, and contributing to business growth. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, driven, and committed to delivering an excellent level of service while achieving and exceeding sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
*Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients
*Manage a portfolio of accounts on a day-to-day basis
*Achieve and exceed individual and team sales targets
*Identify and develop new business opportunities across new, existing, and dormant accounts
*Maintain accurate sales forecasts and regularly update senior management
*Update and manage CRM systems, ensuring all opportunities and activities are recorded accurately
*Deliver a high standard of customer service and meet agreed Service Level Agreements
*Monitor, achieve, and update key performance indicators (KPIs)
*Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
*Communicate clearly and professionally at all levels
*Ensure all account information is handled in line with company procedures, ISO standards, and legislative requirements
Skills & Experience Required
*Proven sales experience, ideally within an account management or B2B sales environment
*Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to manage new and existing accounts
*Confident, positive, and determined approach to sales
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills
*Good attention to detail and strong organisational skills
*Understanding of basic costing and sales principles
*Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems
*Enjoys working with people and contributing to a team environment
*Keen to learn and develop within a growing business
*Good timekeeping and reliability
Essential Requirements
*Proven sales skills
*GCSE Maths and English (Grade A–C or equivalent)
*Full UK driving licence
