Job Description:
Our client is a well-established independent garden centre known for its friendly atmosphere, high standards, and strong focus on customer care. The Houseplant department is one of the busiest and most popular areas of the store. As the business continues to grow, they are now looking for a Houseplant Supervisor to lead this key department.
They are particularly keen to hear from candidates who are currently working within a plant area or similar environment and are ready to take the next step into management and progress their career.
Job Summary:
This is a hands-on role where you’ll be the first point of contact for customers visiting the Houseplant area. You’ll provide a warm welcome, offer helpful advice, and make sure everyone receives a genuinely enjoyable experience. You’ll use your plant knowledge and confidence to guide customers, answer questions and help them choose the right products, while naturally making the most of sales opportunities.
Working closely with the wider team, you will keep the department looking its best — clean, well-presented and fully stocked. You’ll also support with stock checks, waste processing and other day-to-day tasks. In time, you’ll take on ordering responsibilities too. A genuine love of houseplants and good understanding of plant care is essential.

*Adaptable, proactive and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
