Job Description:
We are currently recruiting an Assembly Operative for our client’s team, a well-established manufacturing business based in Wokingham. This role sits within the UK Production Division and offers an excellent opportunity for someone with strong manual dexterity and a keen eye for detail.
Assembly Operative – Production
Location: Wokingham
Hours: 08:45 - 17:00 Mon - Fri
Salary: £12.80ph
The RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for the assembly of components and products, working in line with customer specifications, quality standards, and company procedures.
Key Responsibilities*Assembly of connectors, cables, and components using approved tools and techniques
*Mechanical assembly of a full range of products
*Basic wiring and soldering (advantageous)
*Working with araldite glues and resins
*Inspection of components at each stage of the assembly process
*Packing and documenting finished products
*Maintaining quality standards in line with company QMS procedures
*Completing documentation accurately and on time
*Supporting warehouse duties including picking, packing, stock control, and stock taking
*Assisting with daily despatch when required, including UPS system use
*Maintaining a clean, tidy, and safe working environment
*Reporting any quality, assembly, or production issues to the Production Manager
*Adhering to Health & Safety policies at all times
*Carrying out any other reasonable duties as required
Skills & Experience*Experience assembling small components in a production environment
*High level of manual dexterity
*Ability to plan and organise workload effectively
*Understanding of quality standards and attention to detail
*Good standard of numeracy and literacy
