Job Description:
Academics are currently working in partnership with a well-established Alternative Provision in Maidstone to recruit a dedicated SEN Teacher. This setting supports pupils with Special Educational Needs, including SEMH, ASD, ADHD, and additional learning needs, who require a more personalised and nurturing approach to education.
You will be teaching small classes or individual pupils, delivering engaging and structured lessons tailored to meet diverse needs, while helping students re-engage with learning and build confidence.
Key Responsibilities * Plan and deliver differentiated lessons suited to SEN learners

* Support pupils with emotional, behavioural, and social needs

* Create a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment

* Work closely with support staff, SENCOs, and external professionals

* Track progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly

* Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation

The Ideal Candidate * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

* Experience teaching pupils with SEN (in AP, SEN school, or mainstream settings)

* Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills

* Patient, resilient, and passionate about inclusive education

* Ability to build strong, trusting relationships with pupils

* Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
