Account Manager - Energy Sector

Location: Aberdeen
About the RoleOur client, a leading company within the energy sector, is seeking an experienced Account Manager to join their established and collaborative Commercial team.
This is a key customer-facing role focused on managing and developing existing key accounts across the UK. While the primary emphasis is on the rental product line, the role will also involve supporting sales and service activities. The position would suit someone who enjoys building long-term customer relationships, identifying growth opportunities, and contributing to commercial strategy within a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities*Manage and develop existing key customer accounts across the UK
*Create and deliver account growth plans aligned with wider commercial objectives
*Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships by understanding and meeting customer requirements
*Support the Commercial Manager with data analysis, reporting, and strategic insights
*Identify and progress new opportunities through the full sales cycle
*Develop and manage target customer lists
*Provide guidance and support to junior team members, including Account Coordinators
*Take responsibility for defined areas of the UK commercial budget
*Gather market intelligence and monitor competitor activity
*Prepare and submit tender and bid documentation in line with internal governance
*Ensure CRM systems are kept accurate and up to date
*Prepare financial models and business cases for fleet sales, CAPEX requests, and asset transfers
Skills & Experience*Essential: Background working with supply chain and service companies within the energy sector, with a good understanding of sector terminology
*Proven experience in account management, sales, or business development
*Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
*Commercially astute, with the ability to analyse data and build robust business cases
*Comfortable working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
