Financial Planning Administrator – Durham

Tempest Jones is pleased to be recruiting on behalf of a thriving financial planning firm based in Durham. This firm provides holistic whole of market advice across pensions, investments, estate planning, tax planning and protection and is continuing to expand due to ongoing success.
They are now looking to appoint an experienced Financial Planning Administrator to support advisers with the full end to end administration of client cases and portfolios.

Financial Planning Administrator Responsibilities:
*Processing new business.
*Monitoring applications with providers through to completion.
*Payment of fees.
*Managing follow on work including investing monies, pension crystallisations, drawdown cases and payment of benefits.
*Processing ad hoc withdrawals from pensions and investments.
*Updating and maintaining the back-office system accurately.
*Issuing letters of authority and chasing responses from providers.
*Obtaining illustrations for new business.
*Collating and pre completing paperwork for client applications in a timely manner.
*Preparing client valuations and supporting paperwork for review including fund switches and benefit payments.
*Managing incoming and outgoing post and maintaining an organised electronic filing system.
*Handling general client queries professionally and efficiently.
*Collating client information and assisting with the preparation of suitability reports.
*Maintaining a consistently high level of accuracy and attention to detail at all times.
Requirements of Financial Planning Administrator
*Previous experience within a financial planning or financial services administration role.
*Exposure to pensions and investments is highly desirable.
*Strong IT skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.
*Confident communication skills both written and verbal.
*Permanent right to work in the UK as sponsorship cannot be offered.
