Job Title: Level 3 Nursery Practitioner
Location: Croydon, London
Salary: From £25,000 – £31,600 per annum (Depending on experience)
Hours: Full-time (typically 40 hours per week)


Role Purpose
To provide high-quality care and education for children aged 0–5 years, ensuring a safe,
stimulating environment in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) statutory
framework. You will act as a Key Person, monitoring development and building strong
partnerships with families.


Key Responsibilities
Educational Delivery: Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate activities that
support all areas of learning within the EYFS.
Key Person Role: Maintain accurate developmental records (using platforms like
Tapestry) and conduct regular observations to track child progress.
Safety & Safeguarding: Maintain a high standard of physical and emotional safety;
ensure all safeguarding and health & safety policies are strictly followed.
Parent Partnership: Provide daily feedback to parents/carers and participate in parent
consultation evenings.
Team Collaboration: Work effectively with the room leader and colleagues to maintain
nursery ratios and a positive team culture.


Requirements & Qualifications
Qualification: A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3
in Childcare, Cache Level 3).
Education: Level 2 (C/4 or above) in English and Maths (required to be counted in Level
3 ratios).
Knowledge: Strong understanding of the EYFS, safeguarding procedures, and child
development.
Certifications: Valid Paediatric First Aid (PFA) certificate and an Enhanced DBS check
(or willingness to obtain).
