Teaching Assistant / Unqualified Teacher
Outstanding SEN School - Southwark
Academics is working with an Outstanding specialist SEN school in Southwark supporting young people aged 16-21 with a range of Special Educational Needs, including learning difficulties, Autism (ASD), and Down syndrome.
We are currently seeking a strong, experienced Teaching Assistant or an Unqualified Teacher to join our dedicated team.
Key Details:
*Age range: 16-21 years of age
*Salary: £130 - £220 per day
*SEN needs: Learning difficulties, ASD, Down syndrome
*Working days: Monday - Thursday
*Location: Southwark, London
The Role:
*Supporting students with a wide range of SEN in small groups and 1:1
*Assisting with (and in some cases leading) learning activities focused on life skills, independence, and personal development
*Working collaboratively with teachers and support staff
*Creating a positive, structured, and inclusive learning environment
About You:
*Experience working with young people with SEN (school, college, care, or similar settings)
*Confident, patient, and resilient, with a genuine passion for SEN education
*Able to adapt learning and communication to meet individual needs
*Teaching Assistant experience or unqualified teaching experience welcomed
