Job OverviewWe are currently recruiting Teaching Assistants to work in secondary schools on a day-to-day supply and long-term temporary basis. These roles are ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting young people’s learning and development in a secondary school environment.
Key Responsibilities*Support students in the classroom under the direction of the teacher
*Provide one-to-one or small group support where required
*Assist students with additional learning needs, including SEN
*Help maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment
*Support behaviour management in line with school policies
*Assist with lesson preparation and classroom organisation
*Supervise students during break times and transitions when required
Requirements*Experience working with children or young people (school-based experience preferred)
*A patient, reliable, and flexible approach
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills
*Ability to work across different subjects and year groups (KS3–KS5)
*Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
*Right to work in the UK
Desirable Skills & Experience*Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant in a secondary school
*Experience supporting SEN, SEMH, or challenging behaviour
*Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE, Level 2/3 Supporting Teaching & Learning)
