ECT / Trainee / Student Teacher - Barrow-in-Furness Location: Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria
Pay Rate: £110 - £162 per day (dependant on experience)
Contract: Full-time or Part-time
The Opportunity Are you looking to kickstart your career in a supportive educational environment? Tradewind Recruitment is seeking enthusiastic Early Career Teachers (ECTs), Trainees, or Student Teachers to join a variety of vibrant Primary and Secondary schools across the Barrow-in-Furness area.
We are open to all subject specialisms. Whether your expertise lies in the Arts, Humanities, STEM, or Primary Education, we have a wealth of opportunities waiting for you. We are happy to consider both full-time and part-time applicants to suit your final placement or early career needs.
Key Responsibilities * Learning & Development: Plan and deliver engaging lessons across your chosen key stages under the guidance of experienced mentors.
* Assessment: Mark student work and provide constructive feedback to drive academic progress and ensure students are prepared for their relevant milestones.
* Classroom Management: Build your confidence in maintaining a productive learning environment; managing classroom behaviour effectively with departmental and senior leadership support.
* Collaboration: Work alongside dynamic teaching teams to ensure high standards of teaching and learning across the school.
Requirements & Skills * Education: A degree in your chosen subject area or Primary Education.
* Qualifications: Current enrolment in or completion of a recognised teaching qualification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or School Direct).
* Passion for Teaching: A strong desire to inspire the next generation and a commitment to your own professional development.
* Knowledge: A solid understanding of the current UK National Curriculum.
