*Primarily a management role, though the post-holder may temporarily hold a small caseload in exceptional circumstances (e.g., during recruitment gaps or sickness).
*Taking a lead role in investigating any allegations or attending support groups as required (noting a historically low rate of allegations within this region).
Duties & Responsibilities *Providing high-quality supervision, mentoring, and annual appraisals for the Social Work team.
*Overseeing the support and retention of foster carers across the South region.
*Ensuring the safety and well-being of children in placements through rigorous monitoring of outcomes.

*Leading on service development initiatives to enhance the agency’s regional offering.
*Collaborating with the Central Home Finding and Recruitment teams to ensure placement matching is effective.
*Contributing to the recruitment and induction of new staff members.
Requirements *Qualified Social Worker: Must be registered with Social Work England.
*IFA Experience: Essential experience working within an Independent Fostering Agency, either at a Senior Supervising or Management level.
*Leadership Skills: Proven ability to manage staff and drive performance within a regulatory framework.
