Job Description:
Paraplanner
Banbury, Oxfordshire
Office based
Up to £60k (Depending on experience & qualifications)
This role will suit a Paraplanner who enjoys being at the technical heart of the advice process and wants to work closely with advisers to deliver high-quality, client-centric financial planning. Potential future progression to an Advisory role.
You’ll be joining a business where paraplanning is genuinely valued, not treated as a back-office function. You’ll have the confidence to challenge recommendations where appropriate, take ownership of complex cases, and play a meaningful role in shaping client outcomes. For someone who enjoys depth, quality, and professional standards, this is a strong long-term opportunity. Level 4 Diploma desirable.
The business
The firm is a well-established independent wealth planning practice providing holistic financial advice to individuals and families. The advice proposition is built around long-term relationships, thoughtful planning, and doing the right thing for clients rather than transactional outcomes.
The team works in a collaborative, professional environment with strong systems, clear processes, and a genuine focus on quality. Paraplanners are seen as a core part of the advice process and are encouraged to contribute ideas, challenge thinking, and support the ongoing development of the business.
The role
Working closely with the firm’s Independent Financial Advisers, you’ll support the full advice lifecycle. Your day-to-day will involve analysing client information, researching appropriate solutions, and producing clear, compliant, and well-reasoned suitability reports.
You’ll prepare detailed cashflow forecasts for client meetings, liaise with providers to obtain technical data and illustrations, and ensure all client files are accurate and complete. You’ll also help advisers prepare for client meetings and follow up on actions, acting as a quality control point throughout the process.
This is a role for someone comfortable working autonomously, managing priorities, and taking responsibility for the standard of advice being delivered. You’ll be trusted to use your judgement and expertise within the role.
The Benefits
*Salary up to £60k
*Employer pension (Increasing with service)
*23 Holiday days + Bank Holidays
*Death in service 3x
*Private Medical Insurance (After 12 months of service)
*Health cash plan
*EV Scheme (After probation)
*Employee benefits platform
*Quarterly firm wide social events
*Long-term career development within a stable, growing firm
