We are delighted to be supporting a well-established and expanding business based in rural Northampton. With a current turnover of £3 million and exciting growth plans; the Owner and Managing Director, is looking for a confident and capable Accountant to take ownership of the day-to-day finance function.
You’ll work closely with the Managing Director (who has no formal accounts training) and receive part-time support from the current Finance Manager, who will be retiring in the near future. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys autonomy, variety, and being a trusted advisor within a friendly, down-to-earth team.

*Purchase ledger
*Sales ledger
*Bank reconciliations
*VAT returns
*Running BACs payments
*Handling customer queries
*Credit control
*Producing the trial balance
*Explaining financial information to the Managing Director
*Accruals & prepayments
*Maintaining the fixed asset register
*Journals
*Month-end reporting

*AAT Qualified or QBE (Qualified by Experience)
*Interested in further study? Support for ACCA / ACA / CIMA is available
*Able to work independently and use your initiative
*Confident advising the Managing Director and Business Owner
*Strong communication skills and a positive, can-do approach
