Tutor for Accounting Apprenticeships (Levels 2–4)

About the Role
We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Tutor to design, deliver and continually enhance high-quality training across Accounting Apprenticeships Levels 2 to 4. This role focuses on achieving positive learner outcomes by developing knowledge, skills and behaviours that support progression and long-term success.


You will deliver structured AAT Level 2 to Level 4 taught sessions, preparing learners for their AAT examinations, while supporting them throughout their apprenticeship journey.


The role is based in Trafford, with a blend of in-person and online delivery. Teaching sessions typically take place between 9.00am and 4.30pm, with opportunities for remote working for some aspects of the week.


Key Responsibilities
*Design and deliver engaging, sequential learning sessions (face-to-face and online) in line with Accounting Standards and AAT requirements up to Level 4.
*Manage learner caseloads, supporting retention, progression and achievement.
*Assess learner work and provide timely, structured feedback, agreeing development objectives with learners, employers and, where appropriate, parents.
*Set, monitor and review learner targets using accurate starting points to ensure progress against agreed milestones and KPIs.
*Track learner progress against Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours (KSBs) and apply appropriate support strategies to enable successful completion.
*Contribute to curriculum improvement through feedback from learners, employers and stakeholders.
*Ensure compliance with learner commitment statements, diagnostics and end-point assessment requirements.
*Participate in quality assurance, CPD, safeguarding, and health & safety activities.
*Support recruitment and engagement activity including open evenings, taster sessions, information, advice and guidance (IAG) events and employer engagement.


About You
You will be learner-focused, organised and motivated to help individuals achieve their full potential. You will also bring:
*Confidence using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
*Experience working with digital systems and eLearning platforms.
*A motivating, supportive and inclusive approach to teaching and learning.
*Flexibility, adaptability and a positive mindset.
*Strong communication skills, able to engage learners from diverse backgrounds.


Skills and Experience Required
*Experience delivering AAT modules up to Level 3 minimum, with a willingness to develop to Level 4 delivery.
*At least 3 years’ vocational industry experience within Finance.
*1–2 years’ teaching, learning and assessment experience, with an understanding of Ofsted quality standards.
*Relevant AAT or equivalent professional qualifications and up-to-date subject knowledge.
*Teaching qualification (e.g. Diploma in Education and Training) or a willingness to work towards one.
*Proven coaching and mentoring skills.
*Strong planning and organisational ability.
*Creative approach to designing innovative and engaging learning materials.






All candidates who register with Reed Further Education will have 2 years’ referencing taken up and will be required to have a DBS check completed. All offers are conditional upon satisfactory background checks.
