Senior Residential Property Fee-Earner / Partner
£60k - £90k
Surrey/Hybrid
Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Residential Property Fee-Earner to join a progressive and inclusive law practice as a senior associate or Partner. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven legal professional with a passion for property law to take on a senior or leadership role within a supportive and collaborative environment. Responsibilities
*Lead the Residential Property Department with strategic vision and a focus on high-quality legal services if you join as a Partner.
*Handle a varied residential property caseload, including freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity, and lease extensions.
*Develop lasting relationships with existing and prospective clients, providing clear and pragmatic legal advice.
*Contribute to the growth of the firm through business development activities, networking, and building relationships with key stakeholders.
*Supervise, mentor, and support junior team members to promote professional growth and well-being.
*Work collaboratively with other departments to cross-sell and enhance client service delivery across the firm.
*Oversee compliance with regulatory and legal frameworks within the department, ensuring the highest professional standards.
Qualifications
*Qualified solicitor in England and Wales (or equivalent legal qualification) 4 years PQE+.
*Proven track record of managing a high-volume residential property caseload independently and efficiently.
*Significant post-qualification experience in residential property law, including complex transactions.
*Aspiration or experience in a senior role such as Salaried Partner.
*Strong leadership and team management skills, with a commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive workplace culture.
*Exceptional communication, negotiation, and client care skills.
*Excellent business development and networking abilities.
*A proactive, organised, and solution-focused approach to work.
Day-to-Day
*Managing your own caseload of diverse residential property matters with accuracy and efficiency, ensuring clients are updated regularly and supported throughout the process.
*Mentoring and supervising junior colleagues, providing guidance on legal queries, and ensuring their ongoing development and success.
*Attending networking events, building relationships with local businesses and estate agents to expand the firm’s client base.
*Conducting reviews and updates of legal processes within the property department to ensure the highest levels of compliance and efficiency.
*Collaborating with other departments to share knowledge and provide holistic legal advice for clients with multidisciplinary needs.
*Taking part in team meetings, contributing to discussions about firm strategy, operational improvements, and initiatives that support diversity and inclusion.
*Leading client meetings, negotiating contracts, and resolving complex issues with pragmatic solutions.
